SPAIN -- The annual Forbes Rich List, in its Spanish variant and in the worldwide version, is predominantly male. There are only eight women on the worldwide list of the 50 richest people, mostly heiresses and their families (Christy Walton & family, Alice Walton, Liliane Bettencourt & family, Jacqueline Mars, Laurene Powell Jobs & family, Anne Cox Chambers, Gina Reinhart and Christy Walton & family, Alice Walton, Liliane Bettencourt & family, Jacqueline Mars, Laurene Powell Jobs & family, Anne Cox Chambers, Gina Reinhart and Suzanne Klatten. In order to create the Spanish Rich List, the magazine studies two basic sources: the Companies Registry through its Informa private data bank and the Stock Exchange Commission, both in Madrid.
